For too many years I’ve vocalized a desire to venture into entrepreneurship but I haven’t ever really started or put any kind of adequate effort into starting anything solid. I’ve been ALL TALK, NO ACTION.

The past few months I’ve been feeling a little more serious, I’ve been making more plans and doing more research.

ALL ACTION, NO TALK.

Being around like-minded people that talk like me and look like me and can relate to my experiences in words that I use on a daily basis…it makes my goals and dreams feel so much more attainable.

It’s so easy to be discouraged when you aren’t surrounded by people that are already doing what you want for yourself. Seeing the successes of others and never talking to anyone that can tell you they’ve already made it out of the challenges you’re currently facing…it can kill your dreams.

Seeing people flourish that are so happy to tell you about all of the obstacles they had to overcome to get to this space and how they overcame them…it really is everything I needed and it can be what you need to. There’s something really inspiring about being around people that look like you, that have similar aspirations as you, that come from the same places as you.

Whenever you start to feel discouraged or lost, find some people that are already doing what you want to see yourself doing. Go to some events, follow a few businesses on Instagram, bookmark their websites, listen to some entrepreneurial podcasts, talk to people that are out doing what you’re trying to build for yourself. Surround yourself with inspiration. Throw yourself completely into the lifestyle.

It’s easy to give up. It’s easy to say fuck this shit. It’s easy to walk away and say “I’ll try again later.”

It’s work to get around some people that are going to inspire you. They’re not gonna come to your house and knock on your door and give you free game…

You have to put forth that initiative to find your inspiration.

But this whole lifestyle is about effort and trying and trying again.

Seek out what you want and it’ll be easier to have.
